Online booking website Jumia Travel has announced a milestone of 1000 in hotel inventory, making it the biggest hotel inventory in Ghana.
Jumia, which is an online shopping platform, is aiming to become the leading online platform in Africa with several subsidiaries including hotel bookings.
The service affords customers the opportunity to make hotel reservations at the click of a button from among a wide range of choices.
Speaking to Class Business, Public Relations and Marketing Manager of Jumia Travels, Bennet Otoo, said two years into its operations, the company is already a leader in the industry.
“Already Jumia Travel is Africa’s number one in online hotel booking which also means that we have the largest inventory of hotels. Already, we have over 250,000 hotels and in Ghana we have been able to reach that 1000 milestone which gives us the bragging rights to say that we have the biggest inventory of hotels in the country at the moment when you compare all other bookings online and having the biggest inventory only means we serve our customers and clients in such a way that nobody else does,” he said.
“We give you options, so let’s just say if you are going to Takoradi, on Jumia Travels, you have too many options to choose from; that is what having a large inventory of 1000 gives you.”
