All workers of the Cocoa Processing Company (CPC) who were asked to proceed on leave have resumed work following the completion of maintenance work on two of the company’s plants that were shut down.

CPC temporally shut down its two cocoa processing plants due to what it described as operational challenges in January this year.

Management directed that all staff of the company should stay at home as part of their annual leave with effect from January 25, 2016 while the factory remained shut.

But Public Relations Officer and Human Resource Manager of CPC, Ekow Rhule has confirmed that all staff have resumed work following completion of the maintenance work.

“They are back and everybody is working. We have completed the maintenance schedule and everybody who went home is back,” Rhule.

He added: “If anyone is still at home, then it means they have not exhausted the leave yet. There was nothing like redundancy the only reason that we shut down was for maintenance every year.”.
