Jumia Ghana has slashed prices of goods by 80 percent to fulfil promise to it’s cherished customers. This year’s Jumia Black Friday is a way to democratize ecommerce and show vendors and customers all the opportunities of internet and fulfil promise.
Speaking at the press conference in Accra, for this year’s event, The Co-CEO of Jumia E-commerce Africa, Mr. Massimiliano Spalazzi said “2018 Jumia Black Friday sale, is an opportunity to deliver on promises of Jumia to their valued and cherished customers”.
“Over the years, we have promised our customers mind blowing deals on quality items across all categories and this sale presents a unique opportunity to fulfil these promises. It is the biggest online sale of the year not only in Ghana but in Africa and the world at large” he added.
Jumia Ghana is very much optimistic the users of its e-commerce platform would enjoy the very best deals in various categories during this year’s Black Friday festivals, which is running for 22 days, runs from Friday 16 November – Friday 7 December, 2018.
Jumia promises to offer amazing jaw dropping discounts as high as 80% on over 50,000 super deals. Although the entire sale runs for 3 weeks, this year’s #JumiaBlackFridays has four special Fridays on which exclusive deals will be available. Many flash sales, treasure hunts and many contests, this year promises to be the best in recent times. Customers get free 7 day return policy and can pay on delivery or via the various online payment platforms.
The Co-MD of Jumia Ghana, Mr. Kayode Adeyinka, enumerated the various pick-up outlets Jumia Ghana has provided outside Accra to ensure that customers outside Accra also get their ordered products to them.

The Co-Chief Executive Director for Jumia Ghana Mr. Ore Odusanya in an interview with Business Day emphasized “during the Black Friday sale, we expect about 5Million visitors to the website. Asides our huge digital footprint we are investing heavily on above the line channels and will have close to 1,000 slots on Radio and over 500 TV slots. We will also be working with MTN as a key partner to reach their 17Million customer base. This when done will create as much awareness as possible and give Ghanaians the opportunity to be part of this historic event.’’
