HFC Bank to set excellent customer standards

Management of HFC Bank will continue the good work that the past leadership started and remain committed to move the Bank to new heights and improve it for the benefit of all stakeholders.

“The new HFC Bank will set the standard of excellence in customer satisfaction, employee engagement, social responsibility and shareholder value while building successful societies,” Robert Le Hunte, Managing Director of HFC Bank told stakeholders at a Corporate Social Responsibility event in Accra.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programme, the Bank donated a total of GH¢ 324,000.00 to 14 institutions.

The beneficiary institutions are the Ghana Heart Foundation, National Partnership for Children’s Trust, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (Accident Centre), Ghana Blind Union, Help Age Ghana, SOS Ghana and Catholic Action for Street Children.

The rest are Students Financial Aid Office – University of Ghana, Ghana Parents Association for Childhood Cancers, Bonwire Anglican Primary, Knowledge Tree Technologies, 37 Military Hospital, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital Burns Centre and Ridge Hospital.

Mr Le Hunte said management would invest in capacity building programmes to serve customers better and also create greater career opportunities for the staff of HFC Bank, a subsidiary of Trinidad and Tobago-based Republic Bank.

“There will be training and knowledge-transfer to enhance the bank’s competitiveness. Over the next several months, HFC Bank and Republic Bank will work on the re-alignment of systems and procedures to harmonise our operations,” he stated.

There are also plans underway to introduce new services and products into HFC Bank to make it more capable of meeting the needs of the customers.

Mr Le Hunte said the donation was in recognition of the great impact that the various organizations service to the community was making to the society, adding that at the core of the Bank’s philosophy was the principle of building successful societies and making communities/societies in which we operate better.

He said HFC Bank was committed to further enhance its corporate social responsibility to benefit the Ghanaian society by tapping into its Parent Bank, Republic Bank’s rich experience in this field.

“HFC Bank as a good corporate citizen assures you of our commitment to contribute to the development of various fields in Ghana as we grow to become one of the leading banks in Ghana,” Mr Le Hunte said.

Mrs Ama Amoah, the Company Secretary of HFC Bank, said the Bank as a good corporate citizen remained committed to its social responsibility with the aim of achieving its vision of building successful societies and making the communities we operate in better than we found them.

“We have, therefore, chosen to partner with your organizations in your laudable and varying ventures of achieving the same purpose of improving our communities,” she added.
