Ghana to Host West Africa’s Oil and Gas Talent Summit

In order to drive regional competitiveness through talent innovation in the oil and gas sector, the Oil and Gas soft skills Ltd is organizing an oil and gas talent summit from 27th – 29th October, 2015 at the La Palm Royale Beach Hotel, Accra, from 8am to 6pm each day.

The Oil and Gas Talent Summit is the Gulf of Guinea’s premier event focused on developing a globally competent workforce for the region’s oil and gas sector.

The summit is expected to be a gathering for workforce development professionals, industry leaders, solutions providers, banks, and government and education officials coming together to explore talent development that is innovation driven, and able to catalyze regional competitiveness.

It will be chaired by Engr. Felix Amieyeofori, Managing Director of Energia Ltd, a Joint Venture Operator of the Ebendo/Obodeti Marginal Field (ex- Obodugwa/Obodeti Marginal field); Delta State, Nigeria.

This event is highly endorsed by the National Petroleum Authority of Ghana with expected participation from various Oil and Gas companies such as Seven Energy, Seplat Plc, Energia Ltd, Schlumberger, Oildata, Tullow Oil, GNPC and Shell.

The keynote speaker for the summit will be Ghana’s Minister for Petroleum Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah and will also be facilitated by experts such as Steve Gutzler, President of the Leadership Quest, USA, Dr. Ibilola Amao of Lonadek, Emeka Ene of Oildata, Dr. Esther Azinge of Chevron and Dr. Njideba Kelly, USA among others.

Activities outlined for the summit include; expert presentations, business leaders panel discussions, vocational education and training, workforce performance, a presentation on talent innovation among others.
