ECOBANK has beat 27 other banks in Ghana and named as the best bank in the 2014 Ghana Banking Awards held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.
Organizers of the Awards Corporate Initiative Ghana, said that a careful assessment was done on the published financial results of 28 banks, examining views from more than 6000 corporate and retail clients.
ECOBANK took the topmost award because they won in categories that had a strong weighting like Corporate Social Responsibility and Financial Performance.
Other big winners for the night, were Royal bank which was adjudged best bank in five categories – Customer Care, Advisory Services, Growing bank and Retail Finance and Long-term Mortgage Finance.
