Ecobank Ghana Plc’s CEO, Abena Osei-Poku, has emphasized the need for collaboration to drive a youth-led economy. Speaking at the Youth Economic Forum (YEF), she highlighted the bank’s commitment to innovating and strengthening partnerships for financial inclusion among young people.

Osei-Poku noted that youth development is a core strategic focus for Ecobank, with dedicated personnel managing youth well-being and enterprise growth. She stressed that practical solutions and structured opportunities are needed to enable young people to thrive, rather than just dialogue.

The forum, themed ‘From Potential to Prosperity: Youth Driving the New Economy’, brought together entrepreneurs, business leaders, and policymakers to discuss empowering youth to drive Ghana’s emerging economy.

Ecobank is implementing digital tools to help young entrepreneurs manage finances responsibly and scale sustainably. The bank is also partnering with organizations like B&FT and Moreshet Foundation to support youth-led enterprises.

Osei-Poku announced an upcoming youth-specific initiative by Ecobank, spanning sectors like agribusiness, tech, education, and health, and urged young people to be bold and contribute to national development.

Let’s build an inclusive economy driven by empowered young people!
