Hundreds of customers of DKM Diamond Microfinance are furious that they have not been able to retrieve their investments at the Sunyani branch of the company over the last two days.
Although the Bank of Ghana lifted an embargo on the microfinance company prompting it to resume business last week, the depositors say DKM is thwarting attempts to withdraw their money.
The Central Bank in May placed a four-month moratorium on the firm for violating the banking Act.
It further sanctioned the firm to inject Gh¢ 50 million before it could be allowed to operate.
