At last President Mohammadu Buhari has handed the list of 36 ministers to the Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang for onward transmission to the National Assembly.
An online news portal, FrontiersNews, reports that at the sideline of the United Nations meeting in New York, President Buhari handed Ita Enang the list on Monday where he is attending the General Assembly.
The publication reports that its correspondent gathered that Ita Enang left New York with the list on Sunday night for onward delivery to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
The source said President Buhari directed the liaison officer to either handover the list to Saraki on Tuesday at the resumption of the plenary or on Wednesday, depending on the mood of the upper legialative chamber.
No one was however able to identify the names on the list that is in Mr. Ita Enang’s possession, the publication wrote.
It added, that, “However a top All Progressive Congress (APC) source told our correspondent that General Abdulrahman Dambazzau and Mr. Rotimi Amaechi are on the President’s list.”
The two key individuals are presently attending the UN meeting with Mr. President, it adds.
It would be recalled that President Buhari had assured Nigerian’s of his determination to release the ministerial list before the end of September.
