FPSO Kwame Nkrumah, which was shut down last month for maintenance, will resume operations on Saturday, April 9, a statement from the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) sgned by CEO William Amuna has announced.
Tullow Oil announced the 14-day shutdown of the FPSO on March 20, 2016, together with its other partners that operate in the Jubilee Fields.
Announcing the shutdown, the partners said it was to allow for planned maintenance work to be undertaken on key equipment of the Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel.
Intermediate arrangements were made by power producer Volta River Authority (VRA) to forestall power shortages during the maintenance period.
GRIDCo said in its statement that “power systems engineers shall continue to take steps to mitigate any adverse effect arising from the shutdown”.
