MET Insurance Is Now Hollard

    South African Insurance giant, Hollard has taken over majority (51%) shares in local insurance firm Metropolitan (MET) Insurance of Ghana at an undisclosed amount.

    The take-over of MET by Hollard has necessitated its re-branding to Hollard in Accra.

    Speaking at the colourful event to announce the rebranding and change of name, Chief Executive Officer of MET Insurance (now) Hollard said the change in name comes with greater professionalism and immense benefits and opportunities to the Ghanaian community.

    According to her Hollard Ghana would ride on the huge balance sheet of Hallard International to maximize its operations in Ghana whiles employing appropriate technological tools to reach the large masses of the uninsured population.

    She assured of her outfits enthusiasm to initiate innovative policies aimed at creating a sustainable future for the entire citizens.

    Chief Executive of Hollard International Mr Brooks Mparuta expressed Hollard commitment to employ Afro-global strategy through innovation, tradition and alternative means to become Ghana and West African`s favourite insurer.

    Mr Brooks assured of his readiness to upscale and neutralize Ghana`s local talents in its operations to create a better future for all.

    He also assured of financial inclusion and exceptional inclusive growth through effective partnership with all stakeholders in Africa which according to him is a fertile market.

    Hollard says its distinguishing characteristics include its tolerance for a different culture that professes and encourages new ideas, cultural integration, the use of strategic skills and long term views.

    Hollard, South Africa`s fourth largest insurer is a global financial services business with 36 years operation experience in Australia, Africa, Europe, India, China and the US.
