
Dame Dr. Adaora Umeoji, the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank Plc, has been decorated with the prestigious Zik Pan-African Leadership Award.
The honour, which celebrates outstanding leadership and contributions to Africa’s socio-economic development, comes at a pivotal time for the financial institution as it aggressively expands its global footprint.
The Zik Prize, named after Nigeria’s first President and foremost Pan-Africanist, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, is widely recognized as one of the most revered awards in Africa for leadership and good governance. Dame Umeoji’s recognition highlights her exceptional trajectory in the banking sector, her visionary leadership, and her commitment to driving financial inclusion across the continent.
Her receipt of the award closely follows her historic appointment as the first female substantive GMD/CEO of Zenith Bank. Under her stewardship, the bank has continued to build on its legacy of financial resilience and innovation.
