The confederation of African Football (CAF) has ratified a raft of decisions that will foresee the resumption of soccer activities across the continent. While soccer action has resumed in many leagues to give Betway punters enough games to wager on, CAF has adopted a cautious approach.

The ordinary general assembly has been scheduled for December in Addis Ababa with Tanzania as a backup if the Ethiopian capital is unready to host the gathering. The 2020 African national championship (CHAN), which was initially slated for April 25, will now take place from January 16 to February 7, 2021, in Cameroon. CHAN 2022, which was to be held in Algeria, has been moved to January 2023.
CAF outlined its plan for the maiden women’s champion league. There will be one team from each zone, the hosts, and one other team. For the maiden edition, the zonal union of the host country will have two representatives. In the subsequent editions, the host country will have only one representative, while the zonal union of the defending champion will qualify two teams.

According to CAF president Ahmad Ahmad, the launch of the CAF women’s football strategy is in line with the commitment of giving hope to the youth across the continent and women’s football at all levels. It plans to create a roadmap for specific actions that will revolutionize women’s football.
