Tigo launches ‘wo suro a wondi’ promo

Millicom Ghana, operators of telecommunication network Tigo, has launched a promotion that will reward loyal customers with hundreds of prices including airtime and cash.

Dubbed ‘wo suro a won di’ meaning ‘you won’t win if you are afraid’, the 90-day promo is giving away instant gifts on all recharge cards from GHS2 and above.

The promo also seeks to recognise the contribution of the big six in Ghana’s democracy.

Director of Mobile at Tigo, Tara Squire, speaking to Class Business said everyone is a winner in the new promo.

“You are not supposed to text anything to this promo, you are simply supposed to buy airtime and when you buy airtime, you obviously get the first benefit of the airtime you bought. Load that airtime, and, of course, attached to that airtime that you’ve loaded is a price, it’s either a price or you play to win the bingo. So, at the end of the day, no matter what you do, you are a winner because we are not asking you to text that airtime to anything. We are just saying buy airtime and the more airtime you buy, its all yours,” he stated adding: “But, of course, we are a business, so, we cannot simply give the airtime out, so you do have to buy and, of course, we are happier if behind this promo our customers buy more airtime because we want successful businesses in Ghana”.
