Marquis Robinson is a real estate investor in Atlanta, Georgia. At only 31 years old, he is already a millionaire, the owner of a 7-figure revenue investment group, and the mentor behind an online course that teaches other entrepreneurs how to turn a good profit in real estate.
Marquis has been known to find ways to hustle his entire life. Starting out in middle school, his sales experience began with his selling DragonBall Z cards and candy at his school and in his neighborhood. He found his heroes in sales and business at this age too. Whenever he was in trouble from misbehaving, his mother would punish him with the one thing he couldn’t stand, reading. Robinson’s mother would give him copies of Black Enterprise and Forbes so that he could see the kind of person that she wanted him to be. He learned a lot from these readings and through them became incredibly interested in growing his net worth and achieving a better standard of living.
This spirit of enterprise was alive and well in him from a young age and continued well into his years after college when he began to bag groceries in addition to his teaching job in order to make twice as much as he was making as a teacher. Towards the end of his time as a teacher, he turned his focus to a possible career as a real estate agent, hoping to take advantage of the growing real estate market. This was until he realized that he could grow his net worth even more as a real estate investor, instead of an agent.
He attributes much of his success to his belief that the limits that exist in our lives are only the ones that we make. Without limiting our possible success through ideas of “not enough,” or “if only,” Marquis believes that each of us can achieve the goals that we set for ourselves. After beginning his real estate investing career, he committed fully to learning his craft and to making sales with the same energy that he had sold toys and trading cards in his middle school days.
Robinson doesn’t see himself stopping any time soon. “I hope to start my own wine and spirits brand soon, called Nero Vino.” With the success of his real estate group and his online course, there is little doubt he’ll deliver a quality product in the beverage industry as well. Living by his own mantra, Robinson is not allowing himself to be limited by any external forces and is planning to continue all of his companies with the same drive that got him his record high sales returns and gained him a prominent following in both his mentorship program and on social media.
