The much anticipated 20th International Trade Fair 2016, which will be jointly organized by the Ghana Trade Fair Company and the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) is set to be launched on Thursday, December 10 2016 at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
The event, which will witness a second launch in Accra on Wednesday December 16th comes under the theme. “Two Decades of International Trade Fair in Ghana: Exploring Business Opportunities in the SADA Zone of Ghana”, and aims at showcasing a vast wealth of business and investment opportunities across the SADA zone.
The Minister of Trade and Industry, Hon. Ekwow Spio Garbrah is expected to launch the fair in Tamale on the said date. Also to grace the occasion are Chiefs, Regional Ministers, Chairpersons and Chief Executive Officers of SADA and the Ghana Trade Fair Company, Exhibitors, officials from the Ghana Tourism Authority, Ghana Investment Promotion Authority,friends from the media and a host of dignitories.
Stakeholders are excited to expose both international and local investors to among others, a vast wealth of business and investment opportunities in commercial infrastructure, irrigation, tourism, agriculture, ware husing, real estate, solar energy, education and water transport.
Chief Executive Officer of SADA, Mr. Charles Abugre intimates that the savannah zone occupies more than half the land area of Ghana and one-third of its population as well as a huge deposit of untapped tourism potential.
“The forthcoming international trade fair in Tamale, rides on the successful nature of the SADA Business & Investment Fair, (SABIF2015) also organized in Tamale this year in partnership with the Ghana Institution of Engineers. The 2016 International Trade Fair is slated for February 25th to 7th March next year.
