Computing and technology Innovation Company, Intel has demonstrated leadership in technology advancement by showcasing its “No-wire Experience” solutions designed for workplace transformation.

The company organized a demo session recently where its Enterprise Technology Specialist, Oluwatobi Shada gave detailed explanation of the features of the no-wire solutions from Intel and how these new technologies are designed to transform the workplace.

Speaking at the demo session, Shada said that workplace transformation was of utmost important in our society because “today’s intensely competitive business climate is creating an unprecedented opportunity for companies to transform how they work. Workplace transformation means applying an inclusive, integrated strategy to facilitate change throughout the organization with the right partnerships and culture change. The transformation starts with people and is enabled by technology.”

Shada described three of Intel’s wireless technologies created to transform the workplace, one of which is the Intel Pro Wireless Display which securely connects devices to conference room big screens and projectors without wires and dongles. The second device is the Intel Wireless Docking. This technology instantly and effortlessly connects your device to your monitor and other USB peripherals with no wires. “The wireless docking can be connected to your laptop through the connection manager similar to the way you connect to wifi. Before you can use this technology, you need a wireless card on the laptop which should be able to support this technology. It is very high frequency meaning that the band width is bigger and so audio, video, internet connection and so much more can be transferred once the dock is connected to the internet”, he said.

The third device introduced is called the Intel Unite. As the name implies, this solution was created to unite people, solutions, and platforms with ease. Using a select Intel Core vPro processor-based mini PC in the meeting space and the Intel Unite1 application on client devices, your workers can get right down to business. Explaining further, Shada said “the Intel Unite helps up to four people in a conference room share their presentations on the projector without having to switch wires/cables in an out of their laptops. Imagine having a one hour presentation session and having to waste 15 minutes of your time connecting cables to different devices. This technology is a simple solution for collaboration in the conference room that helps save time as everybody in the room can connect to the device through the office wifi network by entering the password and can share whatever is on their screen.”

According to him, work place transformation has a lot of benefits including, “advanced collaboration technologies which allow workers to connect in an intuitive, natural way; whether it’s a global team, a small group, or a simple one-on-one session. For example, distributed mobile workers enabled with advanced collaboration technologies can solve problems and share information easily and without barriers. It also aids productivity in the sense that it reduces lost time as regards to dead laptop battery or a password issue. Let’s say you forget your password and you can’t log in without IT assistance. It’s a drag on your time and theirs, but it is also interrupting workflow. Sharing work can also take longer than it should. We’ve all been there, in the conference room, stuck without the right adapter for the projector and if you can’t project, there’s not an easy way to share work. Intel is making great strides to free workers from these burdens of computing by supporting existing workflows for maximum productivity.”

Shada disclosed that Intel is working to enable an integrated facilities experience through location-based services and embedded building intelligence. Location-based service capabilities on today’s PCs can help you find the resources you need based on current location, from people to conference rooms and printers. And like your PC will one day know you,” so will the room, meaning it will automatically prepare for your meeting—connecting participants via video and distributing meeting notes. Immersive, high-quality audio and video will guarantee a natural, easy experience. Future installments of touch, gesture, and natural voice control will become more contexts aware, taking collaboration and productivity to the next level.

“Intel is making great strides to free workers from the burdens of computing by supporting existing workflows for maximum productivity”, he said.
