The CEO of DKM Diamond Microfinance, Martin Delle has urged customers of the company to continue doing business with them despite its earlier troubles.

This follows the decision by the Bank of Ghana to lift the moratorium placed on the operations of the microfinance company for violating the banking act.

The BoG placed a 90 day moratorium on the operations of the microfinance company on 11th of May, 2015 for violating the banking Act 2004 (Act 673) and further extended it by 30 days to September 11,2015.

However management of DKM say the company will officially resume work at all branches nationwide on Tuesday September 22.

‘’It is a normal business terrain and it is not going to be rushed; like what DKM does always, we will call all our customers and serve them.’’ Martin Delle said in an interview.

According to him, BoG came in to rectify their operations which they obliged. ‘’I must thank Bank of Ghana for taking us through this experience and I will urge all our customers to continue doing business with DKM’’.

Despite the lifting of the ban, BOG says DKM is still not permitted to start collecting deposits from its customers till further notice.

CEO, Martin Delle said the company will adhere to the directive by the central bank to desist from taking deposits.

According to him, ‘’DKM has come to stay as it is tried and proven by the BoG.’’

Meanwhile customers of DKM have welcomed the decision by the central bank to lift the moratorium on the operations of the microfinance company.

Some who spoke to Citi Business News said they were earnestly waiting to receive their cash next Tuesday.
