When most people think about feeling fulfilled in life, they consider fame or riches. For Marco Champion, fulfilment comes from adding tangible value to the lives of other people. He explains how and why this brings fulfilment to his life.
Keep in mind that Champion defines success in a way that most people would not. Most people think of financial success, but Champion says, “Success is not about how much you have but how much you have to give.” He goes on to say, “I believe success is feeling fulfilled in the work that you do.” In other words, Champion finds fulfilment in adding tangible value to others’ lives because that is what he defines as success. When he sees a change in the lives of others and knows that he helped bring it to fruition, he feels he has succeeded. That, in turn, brings on the sense of fulfilment.
Marco Champion did not simply stumble into the realization that he found fulfilment from adding value to others’ lives. He says, “Through meditation, I tapped into my higher calling that pulls me to progress on my mission every day.” This translated into every single business that Champion has created, even those that did not last. “Every business I created was fun and innovative, although most failed, I took that passion and continued to create businesses until I created my current business that’s bringing new levels of success to me.” Remember that success for Champion is adding value to others’ lives. This is a common theme. As Champion says, “Within all my businesses, I strive to help people focus on what they love and to progress. This is my passion.”
Marco Champion grew up in San Diego and did not have a traditional background in business. Yet, he is the CEO of two successful companies. Even with his achievements, he doesn’t consider his status as CEO his greatest success so far. Instead, he describes his greatest success as follows: “I’ve helped some of my clients generate millions of dollars through their personal brand on social media.” By classifying this as his greatest success, Champion truly cements that adding value to other people’s lives not only makes him feel fulfilled but also makes him feel successful.
One of the most amazing things about the way that Marco Champion finds fulfilment in assisting others is that it puts that same fulfilment within reach of the average person. Champion has more resources at his disposal, allowing him to create a larger impact on the value in others’ lives, but everyone can make at least a small impact.
