Vodafone has taken another giant step in Ghana’s telecommunication and digitalisation drive by launching its fibre optic fixed broadband service in Kumasi.

The new service which is an upgrade from the standard copper cable broadband service is expected to provide 10 times internet speed capacity for its consumers.

The Ashanti region is the next after Greater Accra to receive this service with some 1,800 entities in 70 communities already hooked onto this amazing internet experience.

The Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Ghana Yolanda Zoleka said Kumasi deserved it.

“We want to leave a legacy in Ghana to be known as the best West African country for a full digitalisation. For me Kumasi begins to feel like home and more like the second capital of Ghana. We just don’t want to be just another company that just makes money for no reason,” Zoleka noted.
